Attended here a couple of times during a January 2025 trip to Tulum. It is located very close to the AKI supermarket, which is also a hub for bus, taxi, and independent trip transport. The coffee was excellent, the store spotless, and the staff were even tolerant of us when we mistimed a visit and ran away after using their facilities without purchase!

Very friendly staff. I wish they opened earlier than 7 but the food is amazing as well as the coffee. The food is different than the Starbucks in America which is a different experience on its own. The WiFi is good enough for uploading content and being on zoom calls.

Great stop if you want American coffee. There is definitely more beautiful shops but this Starbucks doesn't disappoint.

Parking is horrible, but there is a drive thru, my girlfriend was glad that she was still able to have her starbucks fix while on vacation.

A very good location. Nice staff. _Some_ baristas are very friendly. Many people seem to have some negative views on the "multinational corporations" like Starbucks, but this is one of the best places for people like me who travel and work. In fact, I haven't found a better place in Tulum after two weeks of searching. You can work here for a couple of hours, and even longer. And, nobody bothers you. That is..., except the thieves. I'm writing this review to warn other tourists coming here. There is an UNUSUALLY high concentration of thieve and robbers in this town. I had THREE encounters with thieves and robbers in my first TWO weeks here. One time, I was attacked by 3 robbers in front of the (closeby) Chedraui IN BROAD DAYLIGHT. The rest two, they happened at this Starbucks. Unfortunately, this is a spot where professional thieves hang out. On my VERY FIRST DAY here, my laptop was stolen. I wanted to get the word out as much as possible so that other people could avoid similar incidents. There were positive and negative responses. Some people "came out" and they shared their experiences, as in "metoo". The negative people insisted that i should just leave quietly. Tulum was no different than any other "tourist town". From my personal experience, however, Tulum is not like just any other place. Thieves and robbers "commute" to this town. I am writing this to warn other "tourists" coming to this town. These thieves and robbers primarily target tourists, and there is no real incentive for these "local people" (including expats from other countries, including the U.S. as well as the local police) to address this issue. Tourists keep coming despite this rampant crime issues. I can only presume that 99 out of 100 victims of crimes in this town just leave without filing a police report or saying much, or doing anything about it. Despite all this "digital nomad" hype, Tulum is not an ideal place for people who really travel and work. Also, watch out for these people who are extremely territorial in this town. So, anyways, if you are reading this, YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN. Especially here in Tulum. Just watch out, and be mindful. Especially at this Starbucks. This seems to be one of the places which attract many thieves.
